Professional Career

Born in 1944. Studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence and at the Karlsruhe Academy of Art. He was a member of the group "les intemporels" in Karlsruhe. A painter and sculptor, he considers himself to be a contemporary "Timeless". He specialises in commissioned portraits, both in painting and sculpture, and also works on public commissions, notably for fountains.

Artistic approach

Based on the "new objectivity", he has developed his own symbolic language.
His portraits, still lifes and landscapes are dominated by an unerring sense of aesthetic quality.
In 1991, he founded the Franco-German association PAIR "Réalisme du Haut-Rhin". In 2013, the association opened up to the whole of France and Belgium. Its modified version became "Contemporary Realists and Visionaries".
The association is now international in scope. In 1998, he designed and built a painting studio in Karlsruhe in the old tradition (with overhead lighting to the north).
